Common use
Duratia (dapoxetine) is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) specifically designed to treat
premature
ejaculation in adult men aged 18 to 64 years. It works by raising serotonin levels in the nervous system, which
helps
delay ejaculation and improve control over it's timing. This enhances overall sexual satisfaction and increases the
time it takes to ejaculate.
Dosage and direction
To ensure the best results, taking the Duratia is recommended according to the dosage and duration prescribed
by
your doctor. The tablet should be swallowed whole, not chewed, crushed, or broken. You can take the Duratia tablet
with or without food, but it is advisable to take it at a fixed daily time. Typically, it is taken 1 to 3 hours
before
sexual activity is expected and should not be taken more than once within 24 hours.
Precautions
Duratia tablet can interact with conditions/diseases, including: Cardiovascular/heart disease; A history of
dizziness due to low blood pressure; Depression; Mania; Bipolar disorder; Schizophrenia; Epilepsy/fits; Bleeding or
blood clotting problems; Glaucoma; Kidney problems; Moderate to severe liver problems. It is advisable to consult
your
doctor before using the medication.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to Dapoxetine, patients having heart
conditions, bleeding or clotting disorder, epilepsy, mental health problems like bipolar disorder, depression, or
mania; glaucoma, liver diseases, and tendency to faint.
The Duratia tablet is not intended for use in women and children.
Possible side effect
Side effects of Duratia: Feeling dizzy; Lightheaded; Feeling sick; Feeling sweaty; Feeling confused; Headache.
Drug interaction
Avoid taking antipsychotic medications (benzodiazepines), anticoagulant medications (acenocoumarol), cancer
medications (abemaciclib), antidiabetic medications (acarbose), antihypertensives (beta-blockers such as
acebutolol),
and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (aceclofenac). These medications may alter the safety and effectiveness of
Duratia.
Missed dose
If you miss a dose of the Duratia, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next
scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Avoid taking a double dose to
make up for the missed one.
Overdose
Exceeding the recommended dose of Duratia may lead to dizziness, headache, nausea, dry mouth, and indigestion.
If
you suspect an overdose, it is crucial to seek immediate medical attention.
Storage
The Duratia tablet should be stored at room temperature (below 30°C), away from direct heat and sunlight. It
should be kept dry and away from moisture or dampness. It is recommended to store the medicine in its original
packaging and to keep it out of reach of children and pets. Do not use the medicine after the expiration date
mentioned on the package.
