Tabletki Fincar to lek zawierający finasteryd. Jest stosowany w leczeniu łagodnego przerostu gruczołu krokowego (powiększenia gruczołu krokowego) oraz łysienia typu męskiego (utraty włosów na skórze głowy u mężczyzn). Wyższa dawka, 5 mg, jest stosowana w leczeniu łagodnego przerostu gruczołu krokowego, głównie u mężczyzn.

Common use
Fincar tablet is used primarily to manage symptoms related to benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in adult men.
This condition, characterized by an enlarged prostate, is managed with this medicine which belongs to a group of
medications known as 5α-reductase inhibitors. In addition to managing BPH, this medicine also aids in reducing the
risk of acute urinary retention and decreases the need for surgery related to prostate enlargement. It works by
mitigating symptoms such as difficulty or frequent urination by controlling the size of the prostate.
Dosage and direction
Swallow one tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not crush, break or chew the tablet. Try to take it at the
same time every day, as consistency helps in long-term treatments.
Precautions
Caution is advised in older adults and patients with prostate cancer, depression and in patients with liver
impairment.
Contraindications
Fincar is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to Finasteride. It is also contraindicated in
pregnant women, breastfeeding women, children and women with childbearing potential.
Possible side effect
Fincar tablet may cause the following common side effects: Decreased libido; Erectile dysfunction; Ejaculation
disorder; Decreased ejaculate volume; Breast enlargement or tenderness (this could be swelling or discomfort in your
chest area); Skin rash.
Drug interaction
Antifungals: Medicines such as ketoconazole may increase the levels of finasteride in your body, potentially
enhancing its effects and side effects.
Alpha-adrenergic antagonists: Medicines like terazosin and tamsulosin, when taken with Fincar tablet, may
increase the risk of low blood pressure or hypotension.
Missed dose
In case you forget to take your regular dose of Fincar tablet, take it as soon as you remember. If it's nearly
time for the next dose, don't worry about the missed one and continue with your regular schedule. Don't increase
your
dose without consulting your doctor.
Overdose
If you accidentally take more Fincar tablets than directed, you might experience some common side effects in a
more enhanced manner. You should inform your doctor if such a situation arises so they can guide you accordingly.
Storage
Store Fincar tablet at room temperature. Keep it in a tightly closed container to protect from light and
moisture. Ensure the storage area is out of reach of children and pets.
