Common use
Fertogard is primarily used to manage female infertility. This medicine is part of a group known as selective
estrogen receptor modulators (SERMs). This tablet is also used in cases of ovulatory disorders such as polycystic
ovary syndrome (PCOS) or hypothalamic dysfunction. It assists women who are undergoing assisted reproductive
technologies (ART) like intrauterine insemination (IUI) or in vitro fertilisation (IVF).
Dosage and direction
Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the tablet. It's essential to take this
medicine regularly without missing doses. Always follow your doctor's advice on how long to take this medicine.
Precautions
Liver Disease: If you have liver disease, be cautious, as Fertogard could exacerbate your condition.
Abnormal Uterine Bleeding: If you experience abnormal uterine bleeding, using Fertogard could potentially
worsen
your condition.
Thyroid Disorders: In people with thyroid disorders, this medication may cause a change in hormone levels.
Adrenal Gland Disorders: Those with adrenal gland disorders should exercise care as this medicine may affect
hormone production.
Contraindications

Possible side effect
Using Fertogard tablet may result in the following common side effects: Hot flashes; Headache; Nausea and
vomiting; Breast discomfort; Abdominal bloating; Mood changes.
Drug interaction
Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulators (SERMs): The effectiveness of Fertogard tablet may be reduced when taken
together with tamoxifen.
Antifungal Medications: Fluconazole, a CYP3A4 inhibitor, can increase the levels of clomifene, necessitating
careful monitoring for adverse effects.
Missed dose
If you forget to take your Fertogard tablet at the scheduled time, take it as soon as you remember. However, if
it's nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue with your regular schedule. Do not increase
your
dosage without consulting with your doctor.
Overdose
Overdosing on Fertogard could lead to symptoms similar to its side effects, such as hot flashes, headache,
nausea, and abdominal bloating. If you've mistakenly taken more than prescribed and experience any discomfort,
inform
your doctor promptly.
Storage
Store Fertogard at room temperature, below 30°C. Keep it away from direct heat and sunlight, which can degrade
the medicine. Avoid damp or moist places like bathrooms. Keep this medicine out of reach of children.
