of medicines. In addition to tackling a multitude of bacterial infections, this medicine is also effective against
some sexually transmitted diseases, like gonorrhoea. Moreover, this medicine is sometimes prescribed to lessen the
risk of duodenal ulcers linked to Helicobacter pylori bacteria.
Dosage and direction
Swallow the Cepmox capsule whole with water. This medicine can be taken with or without food. Try to take your
doses at evenly spaced intervals at the same times each day. Continue taking the medicine for the full duration
prescribed by your doctor, even if you begin to feel better.
Precautions
Liver disease: Caution is advised if you have liver problems, as your body might process this medicine slower,
leading to potential side effects.
Kidney disease: Dialysis patients or those with severe renal impairment may need a lower dosage, as high doses
could cause kidney damage.
Mononucleosis (glandular fever): If you have glandular fever, use this medicine cautiously, as it might

Contraindications

Drug interaction
Oral contraceptives: Cepmox may lessen the effectiveness of birth control pills like estradiol and ethinyl
estradiol.
Anticoagulants: When taken with blood thinners such as warfarin, Cepmox capsule can heighten the risk of
bleeding.
Antigout medications: Combining Cepmox with gout medications, such as allopurinol and probenecid, can increase
the incidence of side effects like skin rashes.
Other antibiotics: Cepmox capsule could interact with other antibiotics like tetracycline or doxycycline,
potentially reducing their efficacy.
Missed dose
If you forget to take a dose of Cepmox, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it's almost time for your
next dose, skip the missed one and continue with your regular schedule. Never increase your dosage without asking
your
doctor first.
Overdose
Overdosing on Cepmox may cause symptoms like severe nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain. If you
experience these signs after taking more than your prescribed dose, inform your doctor.
Storage
Store Cepmox capsule at room temperature in a cool, dry area. Keep away from direct sunlight. Keep the medicine
in its original packaging to protect it from moisture. Ensure the medicine is out of reach of children. Use the
medicine before its expiration date.
