Common use
Azee DT is primarily used for managing bacterial infections in children, such as acute otitis media (ear
infection), bacterial sinusitis, community-acquired pneumonia, pharyngitis, and tonsillitis. This medicine belongs
to
a group of medicines known as macrolide antibiotics, which are known for their broad-spectrum activity against a
variety of bacteria.
Dosage and direction
Let the tablet disperse in 5 ml (a teaspoonful) of boiled and cooled water before giving it to your child. Make
sure your child swallows the dispersed tablet quantity completely. Do not exceed the dose recommended by your
doctor.

Possible side effect
Your child might experience some of these common side effects while taking Azee DT tablet: Diarrhea, Nausea,
Abdominal pain, Vomiting, Headache, Skin Rash.
Drug interaction
Antacids containing aluminium or magnesium may hinder the absorption of azithromycin in your child's body.
Examples include Mylanta and Milk of Magnesia.
Anticoagulants like warfarin may interact with this medication, possibly increasing the risk of bleeding.
Antiarrhythmics such as amiodarone and sotalol can interact with azithromycin, potentially leading to altered
medicine effects or increased risk of irregular heartbeats.
Macrolide Antibiotics: Other antibiotics from the same class, like erythromycin and clarithromycin, can
interact
with azithromycin, potentially leading to increased side effects.
Missed dose
If a dose is missed, give it to your child as soon as you remember. If it's nearly time for the next dose, skip
the missed one and continue with the regular schedule. Never give an extra dose without consulting your doctor.
Overdose
In case of an accidental overdose, common symptoms may include nausea, diarrhea and vomiting. If your child
shows
any of these symptoms after having more than the prescribed amount, inform your doctor.
Storage
Keep Azee DT tablets in a cool, dry place where the temperature stays below 30°C. Safeguard the medicine from
direct light and dampness. Always store this medication out of reach of children.
